In 2002 Pat Speight was appointed 1st Storyteller In Residence to Cork County Council. One of the founding members of www.storytellersofireland.org and current Chairperson of The Cork Yarn Spinners, a storytelling group that meet on the last Tuesday of every month at the Spalpín Fanach, South Main Street, Cork.
